The Abundance Collection is a Series of animals that represent abundance, luck and prosperity painstakingly painted in hyper detail on antique jumbo playing cards. The series on a deeper level is about his humanity plays with Nature like it’s a game to be won or conquered, but Nature is actually the abundance we desire and is abundant in itself if we look after it and give it half a chance. 
Elephants are symbols of luck and prosperity.  For Hindus, the elephant is a form of Ganesha who is the God of luck, wealth and protection. And in Feng Shui, elephants are used to energise certain areas of the home and to bring in good luck, elephants with trunks up are thought to usher in good fortune, positive energy, and prosperity - which is why I’ve painted him with the trunk up. Elephants are also the largest land mammal, so it seemed fitting he be the King on the Suit of Diamonds, which represent the element of earth.
