The Abundance Collection is a Series of animals that represent abundance, luck and prosperity painstakingly painted in hyper detail on antique jumbo playing cards. The series on a deeper level is about his humanity plays with Nature like it’s a game to be won or conquered, but Nature is actually the abundance we desire and is abundant in itself if we look after it and give it half a chance. 
In many ancient cultures, seeing a deer was associated with good luck, fertility and fortune.
Also the deer is a symbol of spiritual authority, because their antlers are seen as spiritual antennae , and because they fall off and grow again the animal is also represents regeneration. I have painted this stag on the Suit of Hearts as it is a Red Stag and hearts are red. Red deer also typically have around 10 points on a mature males antlers so I denoted them to the number 10.
